Data deletion

A simple, plain-English procedure to ask IAC to delete personal data we hold about you.

IAC keeps very little personal data about people who contact us. For background on what we hold and for how long, see the Privacy Policy.

How to request deletion

  1. Step 1

    Email sales@useiac.in with the subject line "Data deletion request".

  2. Step 2

    Tell us enough to find your records. Useful details:

    • the email address you used to contact us;
    • the WhatsApp number you messaged the IAC business account from (so we can match the conversation);
    • approximate dates of the conversation;
    • whether you want everything deleted, or only a specific thread.

  3. Step 3

    We may reply with a proportionate identity check — usually just a confirmation reply from the same email address or WhatsApp number — before we act.

  4. Step 4

    We will action the request within a reasonable period and confirm in writing. Some records may be kept where retention is required or permitted by law (for example, tax, accounting, or dispute records).

What deletion actually covers

  • Email correspondence with sales@useiac.in. We will delete the thread(s) you identify from our mailbox.
  • WhatsApp chatbot data on IAC's side. The webhook does not persist the body of your messages — only short-lived in-memory caches for deduplication (about 10 minutes) and rate limiting (about 1 minute), which expire on their own. There is no IAC-side database of your chat to "purge" in the usual sense; we will confirm this and exclude any operational log lines that reference your identifier.
  • WhatsApp data held by Meta. The conversation also exists on Meta's WhatsApp infrastructure. That copy is governed by Meta's own retention. To remove your local copy, delete the chat inside the WhatsApp app on your device. To raise a request directly with Meta, see WhatsApp's Business policy.
  • Website CTA click log. This is stored in your own browser (localStorage) and never leaves your device. Clearing your browser's site data for useiac.in removes it instantly.
